    I have Gionee Gpad G2(6589), very less developments of device, still in jb,
    Need lewa os v6, and also upgread to kk kernel.

    Your guide can help lots of 6589 jb users who are unable to get source of kk particularly Gionee gpad g2, gn810, walton n1, Noir a700, Qmax users.....Due to kk source our development is stoped...and
    Atleast we can give some good jb roms for users.....(Motto is clear)

      i prefer to keep it to myself, once the guide spreads out things get changed and people start taking credits for them and the original developer is forgotten. I will not share the guide my final decision

    Dear Ajit, Don't misunderstand.... but the fact and reality is, not a single android user know the developer's name, when he is flashing the rom....All users are just waiting for new roms....So I had never put my name in any rom ported by me.(and i had never used your any rom bcoz both are ported earlier by other porter.). Another fact is Credits...the only developer knows that how much time he had wasted behind the rom.... and users just press a likes & thanks button.... nothing more....
    Finally I am not telling to you to share porting method but this is the reality... and u know it better....This only for hobby not for source of income....as per my view..
    Any way your work is appreciated and keep it up.....Lots of best luck.....

      i just do not want to share my method of porting, there are other developers out there who port MT6589 to MT6572, i asked many of the developers about it when i was a noob a few months ago everyone ignored me and did told me the same thing as i told you before, so i am just following what happened to me

      Don't mind bro . I saw your comments on other developers forum and trust me I know how you feel . But android is open source you know . I have a lot of mt6589 rom and I tried the same you did . I got dissapoointed because nobody helped me . all ignored me . except some few developers in xda like yuweng and abhinandan trilokia . I used your guide and ported a lot of rom I am trully grateful to u . but one thing i still miss is mt6589 to mt6572 porting guide . Still working on that . But if u do what others did to u then what is the difference ? you are a porter and dev too . developers are meant to help people . Not turn their heads off from them . Dont mind in my words . Though I give credits to devs whose tools helped me and guides too .

      yes Ajit,you are right.Don't disclose a guide that you have learnt with so much struggle.If you do this then it will be too easy for everyone and people will not be hard working which in my opinion very very harmful for future android experience.

    Hi Ajit, I have a MT6589 phone and the ROM came with it wasn't very good. Based on your technical knowledge, is it technically possible to port any ROM of any phone based on MT6589 to my phone? To get started, do I need to basically replace files that you listed in your guide to port MIUI ROM to MT6589? Thank you for your help.

      yes you can port as long as you are running android 4.2.2 and port it correctly. yes you have to replace from stock to port

    Hello I own huawei G700(6589). I dont have source or kernel with kitkat support. I modified jiayu 3gs cm11's update-script it booted up. same with cm12 but thouchscreen not works on both. Can you help me to fix that problem?

    I TRIED PORTING THE LP UI ROM TO MY DEVICE : ZTE BLADE G2, MT6589, KERNEL 3.4.5, JB 4.2.1 512 MB RAM. 4GB ROM. THE COLOR OS TOO. BOTH ARE STUCK AT BOOT LOGO. I FOLLOWED YOUR PORTING GUIDE IN LETTER & SPIRIT. ANY SUGGESTIONS TO GET THEM RUN ON MY DEVICE PLEASE?

      these ROMs are for 4.2.2 and not for 4.2.1 Have you changed the mount points correctly and flashed ?
      Try to port the kernel and flash. If still stuck there is no way.

    Hi!
    I found your page as I was looking for possible ways for a custom ROM for my phone. I´ve been following your instructions for creating all needed backups from tutorial for Unbricking MTK device and I am on the edge to try any of listed ROM-s on this page.
    Still - I better ask if these are suitable for my device? There is written of course on the porting tutorial page that they will be fine on any mt6589 device but there is that curious number "4.2.2". The more I look at it, the more I get the feeling that it marks the minimum Android version and mine happens to be JB 4.2.1

    For any occasion - My phone is Gigabyte Gsmart Aku A1, mt6589 device.
    It has Android JB 4.2.1. running on it and Kernel version is 3.4.5

    Anyway, if these ROM-s wouldn´t suit on it then maybe you can direct me somewhere I could find anything suitable?

      it is device specific, some 4.2.1 roms can be boot 4.2.2 while most cannot

      port and try, also if you can (after testing without porting boot.img) try to port boot.img, the guide is in the tutorials section of this website

      That must be then the "Unpack/repack boot.img and Port Kernel" tutorial?
